Honorary Consuls of Romania in Bulgaria meet with President Rumen Radev
The President of the Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Honorary Consul of Romania in Ruse, Victor Gugushev, participated in an official meeting of a delegation from the Association of Honorary Consuls in Bulgaria with the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev.
The event brought together representatives of the honorary consulates, which play an active role in developing Bulgaria’s bilateral relations with various countries. The meeting focused on opportunities for closer cooperation between the presidential institution and the honorary consuls, as well as guidelines for more effective interaction in the field of diplomacy.
From the Romanian side, three honorary consuls attended the meeting — Victor Gugushev (Ruse), Dimitar Beleliev (Plovdiv), and Evgenia Popescu (Varna). They presented initiatives aimed at strengthening Bulgarian-Romanian relations, promoting cross-border investments, and creating common platforms for business, culture, and education.
President Rumen Radev highlighted the importance of honorary consuls as a bridge between institutions, business, and civil society, and expressed the state’s readiness to support their efforts in developing international cooperation.
Victor Gugushev, in turn, emphasized the key role of the Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce in building sustainable economic partnerships and stated that the honorary consulate in Ruse will continue to be an active center for promoting dialogue and new opportunities between the two neighboring countries.
