Romanian language course for beginners

In April, an online Romanian language course for beginners will begin, organized by the Professional Training Center of the Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce. Over the course of 80 hours, held twice a week, participants will learn about Romanian culture and take their first steps into the world of LIMBA ROMÂNĂ. The classes will be conducted ONLY ONLINE on Tuesdays at 5:30 PM and Saturdays at 9:45 AM. You can register here.

The course format allows busy individuals, who may not always be able to attend the lessons, to follow them at their convenience.

In the new version of the course, the beginner training will be divided into two modules—A1.1 and A1.2—with a grammar-to-practice ratio of 30:70%. The goal is for participants to have time to consolidate what they have learned and progress confidently to new levels.

With many practical exercises and role-playing situations close to real-life scenarios, participants will develop their communication skills in Romanian.

The lecturer, Annie Vulcheva, has over 20 years of experience in intercultural communication between Bulgaria and Romania. She is a translator, a Romanian language teacher, and the author of a methodology for foreign language teaching for adults. Thanks to her, in the last 4 years, dozens of employees from Bulgarian companies have successfully mastered Limba Română and communicate with their partners and clients across the Danube.

What will you be able to do by the end of the course?

• Understand the most popular words and basic phrases related to family and immediate surroundings;
• Read and understand the most common names, words, and very simple sentences, such as announcements, posters, or in catalogs;
• Engage in short conversations on popular topics or with questions of immediate necessity;
• Write a short text, e.g., a greeting card for a holiday, complete forms, and personal data sheets.

The course fee is 350 BGN, excluding VAT. Companies that are members of the Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce receive a 10% discount on the price when enrolling their employees.

Successful graduates will receive a Certificate for level (A1 – part 1) in Key Competence 2 – Foreign Language Learning.
